In Far Cry 6, you will play the role of a local Yaran named Dani Rojas, who is part of the guerrilla that opposes the dictator. With no international aid, no special forces intervention, and nobody that you can trust 100% to help you, putting an end to the tyrannical regimen will be an epic mission like no other but remember what you are fighting for and you will find the strength to continue. The game is a first-person shooting adventure that follows the steps of other games in the Far Cry series, featuring plenty of makeshift weapons, vehicles, companions, and even animals that will fight at your side. Without resources and prosecuted by the military forces under the control of the dictator, you will fight for freedom and to restore your country to its former glory, getting rid of the Castillo family one way or another.

But he is as determined as ruthless, and he will do whatever it takes to make his son follow his steps, even massacre the people of Yara.

After being oppressed for years and now that the fascist dictator is getting older, a part of the citizens has organized a resistance movement that tries to overthrow Castillo before he can perpetuate his legacy of terror by choosing his son as a new governor. He is a ruthless dictator that governs with an iron hand the Caribbean island of Yara, a place that should be a tropical paradise but is more like hell on earth for its inhabitants.

Another crucial element in the story is Antón's son, as he doesn't seem entirely convinced by the idea of following in his father's footsteps. Meanwhile, the guerrilla revolution, led by Dani Rojas, does not give up the fight to get the bloody dictator to fall. Antón Castillo is aware of the conspiracy against him and he does everything possible to continue in power. It seems as if time has stopped in Yara, the Far Cry 6 location, as wandering through the country feels like travelling back to the 60's.
